  DIED

  DeGROOT-At Hilton Head, S.C. on the 13th day of January last, of wounds received in battle, near Charleston, First Sergeant GEORGE GORDON DeGROOT, 127th Regiment, N.Y.S.V., aged 23 years.

  The friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral Friday afternoon, April 7, at 2 o’clock from the residence of his parents, 147 Lafayette avenue, Brooklyn.
